Registration of participants in the selection for the Ukrainian national team will last until April 21, subsequently, on May 31 – June 2, all-Ukrainian competitions will be held in Kyiv.
The Ministry of Veterans has begun accepting applications for candidates for the national team for the Invictus Games, which will represent Ukraine at the fifth anniversary competition in Vancouver-Whistler, Canada.

The department noted that the International Foundation for the Invictus Games has increased the Ukrainian quota from 25 to 35 participants.

The Ukrainian team may include military personnel and veterans of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, as well as injured volunteers who were injured or fell ill during or as a result of their duties in the combat zone since 2014.
It is also noted that the current military personnel can also take part in the selection; a business trip will be arranged for this.
Sports selection disciplines:
- archery
- athletics
- cycling
- powerlifting
- rowing on a simulator
- seated volleyball
- swimming
- table tennis
- basketball on wheeled chairs.
“The national selection will be carried out according to a comprehensive evaluation system, because the Invictus Games are about physical recovery, psychological empowerment and social integration, including through sports,” the organizers specify.
Registration of participants in the selection for the Ukrainian national team will last until April 21.
After this, participants will be invited to the all-Ukrainian competition, which will be held May 31 – June 2 in Kyiv.
“Some of the participants will have a sports camp – an introduction to the disciplines of the Invictus Games and the values of the project. This is not a competition, but an opportunity to try themselves in several sports under the supervision of professional coaches and doctors and choose the best ones for themselves,” – added to the department.
At the end of the all-Ukrainian competition, the selection committee will select and announce the composition of the team within four weeks (by June 30).

The Invictus Games is the world's largest international event for veterans and military personnel who have been injured, injured or ill in the line of duty. The games were founded in 2014 by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. Last year, at the Invictus Games, Ukraine won 34 medals, 12 of which were gold. This is the best result in the history of the Games.
