The occupiers at the TOT staged a “single day of signatures” in support of Putin

held a “single day of signatures” to support nominating Putin for the upcoming presidential elections in the Russian Federation.

As the Center for National Resistance writes, during the event, the occupiers herded state employees to signature collection points for propaganda purposes. In particular, to simulate support for the occupation from the majority of the region's population.

According to the data, the collection of signatures is carried out by volunteers who came from Russia.

Due to the fact that the elections themselves do not arouse significant interest among the local population, the occupiers are forced to “stretch out” the election process for four days, and allow “voting” at the place of residence in order to hide the lack of turnout at polling stations.”

  • Recently, a similar action was carried out in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporozhye region. “Visiting teams of volunteers” from Russia worked at state-owned enterprises and other budgetary institutions.
  • The Russians intend to imitate the presidential elections of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The option of holding elections for the TOT on March 15-17 is being considered, but the final decision has not yet been made.
  • The occupiers have already approved the regulations on elections in the temporarily occupied territories. The Russian Central Election Commission allowed voting in temporarily occupied territories without Russian passports.
