Detained illegal immigrants in the Chernivtsi region
In the Chernivtsi region, two cars with men were detained near the border, five of whom were planning to enter Romania illegally. Also among the detainees were minor 15-year-old “guides.”
This was reported to the State Tax Service.
“Servicemen of the operational unit of the Chernivtsi detachment received information about the preparation of a violation of the state border by a group of people during the operational activities,” the border service noted.
As it was established, five men, through a messenger, agreed with the main organizer of the scheme to be transported to Romania for a reward of 6 to 7 thousand euros each.
At the appointed time, four assistants to the organizer met the “clients” in two cars. The scheme was planned as follows: two people are taken to a certain place, and two more are then led to the state border line.
During the arrest, the violators tried to escape, but they failed. Based on the results of further inspection, the border guards found out that two of the conductors were only 15 years old, and another one, who was driving one of the cars, was 17 years old. authorities sent messages under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine” and Article 304 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Involvement of minors in criminal activity,” the border guards added.
In relation to the remaining violators, materials have been compiled under Articles 185-10 and 204-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
Recently, border guards detained six “swimmers” who were planning to conquer Tisa. Some illegal immigrants paid “helpers” for such a “service” from 6 to 10 thousand dollars.
