The West passed through the airport near the city of Gostomel in the Kiev region.

The ceremony was also attended by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the Italian government George Meloni, as well as the Prime Ministers of Belgium Alexander De Croo and Canada Justin Trudeau.
The Order of the Golden Star was received by Hero of Ukraine, Master Sergeant Igor Grishchenko, Captain Maxim Danilchuk, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces mortar battery, Senior Sergeant Denis Chubarev and anti-aircraft gunner, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Doleyko. The President also awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine and presented the order to the grenade launcher of the National Guard, senior sergeant Ilya Zheved and captain of the naval guard of the State Border Service Petr Melnyk.
Zelensky presented the Presidential awards “Cross of Military Merit” to Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Dmitryshyn, Junior Sergeant Sergei Dobk, Sergeant Elena Dubina and soldier Dmitry Kovalsky.
