Budanov revealed details of the sinking of the boat “Ivanovets” by GUR soldiers in Crimea

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Kirill Budanov, reported details of the special intelligence operation to destroy the Ivanovets missile boat in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The special operation was carried out on the night of February 1.

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine revealed the details of the operation to eliminate the occupiers’ boat “Ivanovets”, NBN reports with reference to The War Zone.

According to the general, soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU “negated” another ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet using maritime unmanned drones MAGURA V5.

Multi-purpose unmanned surface ships of the new generation, developed in Ukraine, were controlled by the 13th group of the MOU GUR. Budanov clarified that during the attack on the invaders’ missile boat, there were 6 direct hits by naval drones on its hull.

The military commander added that, having received damage, the Ivanovets turned over on its stern and sank to the bottom.

Earlier, the sinking of the missile boat of the “second army of the world” in Crimea was commented on by the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The department reported how many occupiers could have been on the ship at the time of the strike.
