As NBN reports, on his page in the TG channel, Vladimir Zelensky noted that Colonel General Alexander Syrsky was appointed as the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine instead of the dismissed Zaluzhny. Also, the resignation of Zaluzhny and the appointment of Syrsky are evidenced by presidential decrees No. 59/2024, No. 60/2024, respectively.

Verbatim from Zelensky's statement:

I appointed Colonel General Syrsky as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As you know, Alexander Syrsky, before his appointment to the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It remains unknown who will instead lead the largest part of the Ukrainian army.
