About the fact that the decision regarding the crash of Boeing flight MH-17 in 2014, adopted by the UN on January 31 of this year, is at least shameful for the international judicial structure, and, as a result, will provoke the emergence of global negative consequences throughout the world, writes NBN, citing a statement by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, published in the French edition of Liberation.
In particular, the case concerns the claim of Kiev to Moscow for non-compliance with the norms of the “Convention on the Financing of Terrorism”, which was actually rejected by the UN, with the justification that the Russian Buk air defense system, which shot down the plane along with its 298 passengers , are just weapons, and not finances. That is, accusing the Russian Federation of sponsoring terrorism does not seem possible, since no direct transfer of assets for the purchase of this type of weapon was recorded.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU called the above-described UN verdict a “shame” for the international judicial system, and such a court decision is a “mistake and a disaster,” since denial of obvious facts will have “very important consequences, primarily for many civilized countries.”
Budanov explained that he did not only Russia, but other dictatorial states, can now freely distribute missile systems to terrorist groups instead of funds, opening up the possibility of attacks on civilian targets, and this, according to UN logic, “in principle will not” terrorism.”
