Not so long ago, analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) warned that if the supply of ammunition to Ukraine is not strengthened and accelerated, then the Ukrainian air defense missile reserves will only last until March of this year.

About the fact that constant delays in the allocation of military assistance to Western countries will be able to further deplete the potential of Ukrainian air defense, thereby allowing Putin’s army to repeat the intensity of air attacks that contributed to the large-scale advance of the invaders in the Avdiivka direction, NBN writes, citing ;material from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
As military analysts note, on February 17, the head of the Ukrainian defense department, Rustem Umerov, said that one of the key conclusions in the defense of Avdiivka was that the Ukrainian Armed Forces needed modern air defense systems to prevent the use of glider bombs by the “second army of the world” (adjustable aerial bombs or KABA).
In addition, the speaker of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel Yuriy Ignat, emphasized that Ukrainian air defense reinforced by the West could “land” Russian Su-34 and Su-35 fighter-bombers dropping these bombs in order to prevent large-scale attacks.
It should be noted that glider bombs have a high range (up to 70 kilometers), and for this reason, Putin’s army began to widely use these ammunition , which makes it possible for enemy tactical aviation to carry out attacks from behind the front line, reducing the losses of invaders on the front line in Ukraine.
Earlier, we wrote about the fact that ISW pointed out the inability of Putin’s army to “blitzkrieg”, using Avdiivka as an example.
