As NBN reports with reference to RMF FM, this statement was made by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, Wieslaw Kukula.
Verbatim from his statement:
The missiles that were fired by the Russian Federation are not very accurate. As a result, all kinds of options are possible. That is, we can talk about both the intentional and programming of the rocket in this way, and the fact that it simply deviated from the trajectory that was programmed.
Kukula at the same time added that it is also necessary to keep in mind that “targets of this kind on the border of two states are constantly a difficult dilemma for destruction. After all, the consequences of destruction on the part of Poland may entail undesirable consequences on the other side.”
In addition, Kukula added that Warsaw informed representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance about the incident. Poland later received a response from NATO that they acted in an exemplary manner.
Let us remind you that we previously wrote that the Polish Ministry of Defense reported why they did not shoot down the Russian missile.
