The head of the Iranian foreign ministry said that the European Union “must act responsibly” and impose sanctions against Israel for blow to Damascus, NBN reports with reference to the publication Kreschatic.
On Monday, April 22, the foreign ministers of the EU member states agreed to expand sanctions against Iran for its arms exports to the Russian Federation.
Abdollahian called “regrettable” the decision of European states to impose “illegal” restrictive measures against his country, which fired more than 300 missiles and attack drones into Israeli territory, allegedly in “self-defense.”
Also Iranian the minister complained about the reaction of European leaders to Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip, calling it “empty words.”
Earlier, the media reported that Tehran could receive modern fighter jets and air defense systems from Moscow to protect against attacks by the US armies and Israel.
