A representative of the General Staff of the Estonian Defense Forces said that the troops of the aggressor country will not be able to capture Chasov Yar by May 9, given that they advanced 5-10 kilometers from Avdeevka at a time, NBN reports with reference to ERR.
According to him, at such a rate of advance of the Russian Armed Forces, the city is beyond their reach. In addition, it is difficult to take an entire populated area, since these are such slow, systematic battles in urban conditions. Considering that the Russians spent several months occupying Avdeevka or Bakhmut, the capture of Chasovoy Yar remains unlikely.
Vyaly noted that now the main attack of Putin’s army is in the Avdeevka and Bakhmut directions, the invaders are pursuing the goal of reaching the borders of the Donetsk region and Luhansk region.
He added that one of the hottest spots today is the village of Ocheretino in the Bakhmut region, where the invaders were able to wedge themselves into the defense of the defenders during the rotation of Ukrainian Armed Forces units.
Previously, ISW analysts talked about the opportunities that Putin's army will receive in the event of the occupation of Chasovoy Yar.
