The press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU stated that mercenaries from Nepal, who are assigned to military unit 29328 of the army of the aggressor country, began to leave their places of military service without permission in large numbers, NBN reports.
It is reported that the reasons for the desertion of Nepalese are the huge losses of Putin’s troops due to “meat assaults”, the brutal attitude of field commanders, extrajudicial executions for refusing to follow orders, and the lack of promised payments for participating in hostilities.
Groups of Russian occupiers are actively searching for fugitives in temporarily occupied settlements, in particular in the Lugansk region. However, the attempts of the “liberators” to return Nepalese mercenaries to their ranks do not bring results.
The leadership of the military unit has to explain in reports the unauthorized leaving of the place of service by foreign citizens. In the reports, the command indicates an absurd reason for the desertion of the Nepalese – the mercenaries are allegedly leaving for their homeland, where they can be prosecuted, because of the earthquake.
Budanov notes that the Nepalese desire to earn “easy” money in the war against Ukraine became a trap for them without the possibility of a safe exit.
