On May 18, the law on mobilization came into force, according to which all Ukrainians liable for military service (18-60 years old) must update their military registration data by July 16.

On the fact that updating military registration data does not provide for the mandatory conscription of all citizens who have completed this procedure into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, NBN writes, citing a statement by the head of the Department of Personnel Policy of the Defense Ministry, Mark Andrusyak, aired on YouTube -channel of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to Andrusyak, at the moment, about 3 million Ukrainian citizens have completed the data update process, but the need for the Defense Forces to be drafted within the framework of mobilization activities is significantly less. Thus, all Ukrainians who have timely adjusted their military registration data are subject to conscription for military service.
The head of the Department of Personnel Policy of the Defense Ministry emphasized that the above procedure was introduced solely for a fair approach, “so that the state sees all those liable for military service on  ;military registration.”
