A Polish diplomat said in a recent interview that at a meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers Council, the Hungarian minister responded positively to his proposal to hold the next informal meeting of foreign ministers in the Ukrainian city, NBN reports.
A representative of Budapest stated on his Facebook page that the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry “crossed another line and lied.” The Hungarian diplomat wrote that he allegedly did not actually support Sikorski's “ridiculous” proposal and immediately expressed his protest at the meeting.
A representative of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Pawel Wronski, noted that the head of the ministry had the impression that Orban's ally was positive about his initiative. He admitted that the representative of Warsaw had misinterpreted the behavior of his Hungarian colleague.
Recall that in an interview, the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry also claimed that the position of the Hungarian authorities irritates all EU members.
