Specialists of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have developed a number of adjustments that make changes to the usual “Procedure for conscripting citizens for military service by mobilization for a special period” (pending approval by the Cabinet of Ministers).

As reported by NBN with a link to the official Facebook profile The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, new amendments provide the opportunity for the command of military units to call up those liable for military service who intend to serve on a voluntary basis in the Defense Forces, ignoring the “help” of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TCC/SP).
The General Staff believes , that the above-described innovations:
- will optimize the algorithm that makes it possible to attract Ukrainians to military service within the framework of the mobilization campaign;
- will give the command of military units the right to independently select/involve in service personnel mentally prepared to defend the country;
- allow those liable for military service to choose positions vacant in military units, including those similar to civilian specialization or skills;
- minimize the danger to citizens to be forcibly mobilized by employees of the TCC/SP into unsuitable military formations.
