On Tuesday, August 6, the Ukrainian Defense Forces broke through the Russian border, launching an offensive in the Kursk region, and at the moment the defenders have taken control of about 80 Russian settlements, which, at first, did not force Moscow to reconsider its priorities and abandon the offensive in the Eastern direction in favor of defending its region.

As NBN reports with reference to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the “Kursk breakthrough” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine finally forced the terrorist state to begin the mass transfer of its units from the front line in Ukraine to the attacked area.
According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War, the intensity of military operations in the Kursk region will require the Russian Federation to increase the number of “manpower” and equipment. According to The Wall Street Journal, several incomplete brigades of Putin's army (about 11 battalions), with a total strength of 5,000 people, have been redeployed from Ukraine to the Kursk region.
In particular, this concerns the “Pyatnashka” brigade of the pseudo-republic “DPR” and the 200th motorized rifle (14th Army Corps of the Leningrad Military District), which have been deployed near Chasovy Yar in Donetsk region in recent months.
In addition, the Russian generals gave orders to move the formations of the “second army of the world” from the Kharkov region: the case concerns the “Tiger” battalion 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces.
Earlier we wrote that Ukraine's operation in Kursk demonstrated the tactical superiority of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over Putin's army.
