Israel has conducted a second round of airstrikes on targets inside Iran. As a result of the strike, a major site linked to the country’s nuclear program was damaged, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to Iran International.

The specific details of this second phase of the attack are currently unknown. However, The Times of Israel reports that a uranium enrichment facility in the city of Natanz was hit multiple times. Iranian state television, which broadcast footage showing thick smoke, stated that the facility had sustained “several strikes.”

The full extent of the damage has not yet been officially confirmed. According to The Times of Israel, the Natanz complex is partially located underground and houses numerous centrifuge halls that process uranium gas as part of Iran’s nuclear program.
