Not long ago, the Ministry of Defense assured that there is currently no urgent need to lower the mobilization age, since there is enough “reserve.”

As NBN reports with reference to the Facebook account of a member of the defense committee of the Ukrainian parliament, MP Vadym Ivchenko, the day before, on August 19, bill No. 11379-d, concerning military service within the framework of mobilization by persons under the age of 25, was not included in the Rada agenda.
According to Ivchenko, the committee on national security, defense and intelligence fully supported this document. However, since the formation of the agenda is controlled by the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, the coalition and the majority, it was decided to postpone the consideration of the document for an indefinite period.
The people's representative added: there is some probability that draft law No. 11379-d will still be put to a vote in the short term, and, judging by everything, the document will be supported by a majority of votes, but when exactly is unknown.
