The authorities of the terrorist state have calmed down somewhat after the breakthrough of the Defense Forces to the Kursk region, since the fighting is taking place far from Kursk, and, it seems, will continue, if the current pace is maintained, for several more months.

As reported by NBN with reference to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Russian authorities, judging by everything, have launched a structured information campaign aimed at justifying to local society the priority of Putin's army's offensive in eastern Ukraine, thus minimizing the need to defend the Kursk region.
In particular, the media space of the aggressor country is downplaying the achievements of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive in the Kursk region – the “mouthpieces of the Kremlin” are actively contrasting the operation of the Defense Forces with the “successes” of the Russian occupation forces in the Pokrovsk region. ISW analysts note that all of this is intended to set the Russian population up to “expect” the return of part of the Kursk region only after the “inevitable defeat of Ukraine” in the Eastern direction.
In particular, Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin has been ordered to push out the Defense Forces by October 1, which destroys Moscow's permanent narratives regarding the existence of some “red lines,” raising the importance of the Russian Federation's “tactical successes” on the front lines in Ukraine, bypassing the need to restore control over populated areas in the Kursk region (the Ukrainian Armed Forces “cleared” at least 90 villages/towns).
The Institute for the Study of War has drawn the line:
Such a long-term occupation of Russian territory undermines the Kremlin's long-standing narratives about why Russia is in a state of war at all. The Kremlin justified its war in Ukraine as a defensive war aimed at protecting Russian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Earlier we wrote about the Ukrainian Armed Forces achieving success in the Kursk region, but the pace of advancement has slowed.
