The Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office has begun a pre-trial investigation into the facts of non-compliance by the Russian Federation with the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder.

As NBN reports with reference to information published on the official Telegram channel of the local regional prosecutor's office, at about 9 o'clock in the evening on Saturday, August 24, Russian occupation forces used methods of warfare prohibited by international law, carrying out an air and missile strike on Sumy.
As it became known, as a result of Russian shelling, a 40-year-old man received multiple wounds, from which he died during the period of providing the necessary medical care. In addition, another 6 men and 2 women have injuries of varying severity.
Also, 5 private residential houses, 5 multi-storey buildings and 2 vehicles were partially destroyed or damaged.
At the moment, a group of prosecutors, interacting with other law enforcement officials, are documenting the consequences of the enemy shelling.
