Musienko, in a comment to the publication “RBK-Ukraine”, told where the Ukrainian forces may withdraw after leaving Vuhledar and whether the front collapsed after such a step by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, NBN reports.
According to the expert, there was and will be no collapse of the front after the retreat of the defenders from Vuhledar. At the same time, if the Russian occupation forces maintain such pressure, the Ukrainian forces will have to retreat closer to the city of Kurakhovo in the Pokrovsky district in order to hold the defense from new areas and try to stop the invaders. He believes that this settlement will become a powerful defensive redoubt for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The analyst claims that the situation in this direction remains under control and it cannot be considered that with the occupation of Vuhledar, the “second army of the world” received a strategic perspective for developing a rapid pace of its offensive actions.
Recall that the commander of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade explained why the Ukrainian forces had no chance of holding Vuhledar.
