In an interview with the British publication Financial Times, the President said that he and other representatives of official Kyiv had not received proposals to exchange the territories temporarily seized by the Russian Federation for Ukraine's membership in the Alliance, writes “NBN” with reference to the Kreschatic publication.
Zelensky called on Western officials who promote the corresponding idea to “put their proposals on the table” of the Ukrainian leadership, and not communicate them through a third party.
The head of state assured that he is open to peace plans from other countries, in particular from Brazil and China. However, the proposals of foreign leaders to end the war must be “real”, not include the territorial division of Ukraine, and must not undermine support for Kyiv's plan.
Also in the interview, the guarantor said that the only way to stop the war is to invite our country to NATO. The Ukrainian leader explained how the West's corresponding step will affect the Kremlin dictator.
