The Russian Foreign Ministry made a statement regarding the elections in the US. The Foreign Ministry believes that Donald Trump's victory is a “reflection of discontent” among American citizens with the policies of the White House under the leadership of Democrat Joe Biden, the NBN publication reports.
The ministry noted that the Republican won the presidential race despite “significant propaganda pressure” from his opponents.
At the same time, Moscow is convinced that “deep internal divisions” in the United States still remain and it “has no illusions” about Trump's re-election, since Washington “adheres to anti-Russian attitudes.”
At the same time, the diplomatic department assured that Russia is ready to work with the new American administration. However, the Kremlin will do this “while remaining in its own interests” and focusing on achieving the goals of the so-called “SVO.”
Recall that Trump promised the Americans to put an end to all wars after returning to the White House.
