The head of the German government said on the ARD channel's Caren Miosga program that he intends to hold a telephone conversation with the head of the Kremlin at the “right time.” According to Scholz, the dialogue with the Russian dictator will take place “soon,” the NBN publication reports.
The Chancellor called himself a “responsible politician” who would not take such steps alone, explaining that negotiations with Putin would require “many conversations with others,” in particular discussions with the Ukrainian leadership.
According to the Russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti, Peskov commented on Scholz's words about his intention to talk with the head of the Kremlin. According to the dictator's spokesman, Berlin has not sent Moscow signals about a possible dialogue between politicians, so no preparations are being made for their telephone talks.
Recall that the Western publication reported that the 47th US President Donald Trump intends to seat representatives of Kyiv and Moscow at the negotiating table immediately after his inauguration.
