As reported by NBN with reference to the Google Trust & Safety rules, the most commonly used fraudulent schemes have become known, which you should familiarize yourself with in order to protect yourself from personal data leaks.
In particular, we are talking about:
- fake images of celebrities created with the help of AI, and used to advertise dubious promotions, sweepstakes and the distribution of malicious software (SW);
- manipulations with digital currency – attackers offer users “favorable” terms for investing in “crypto” in order to seize funds from gullible citizens, using the same fake images of celebrities;
- cloning applications/sites – hackers create copies of bank pages and software to steal users' personal data or impersonate employees of financial institutions, luring victims to fake resources;
- “scareware” – users on a fake Internet resource are informed about a device infection, demanding money for “unlocking” or “treatment”;
- “large-scale events” that open the possibility of creating fake advertising fraudulent campaigns and the promotion of counterfeit goods and services, based on current news.
Earlier we wrote that the US will test AI for the possibility of unauthorized “leak” of nuclear secrets.
