The American corporation Apple remains among the leaders in the smartphone market, but studies show that buyers do not prefer the flagship iPhone models at all.

As NBN reports with reference to analytics from the CIRP (Consumer Intelligence Research Partners) resource, the Cupertino company's relatively budget devices are more often purchased than the more inaccessible “premium” smartphones.
According to sales statistics for 2024, 42 percent of owners of these smartphones chose simple iPhone 16 models:
- The iPhone 16 Plus has 13 percent of the market;
- for the premium iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max – 19/26 percent.
An identical distribution of sales was recorded in previous years: two years ago, the basic models of Apple smartphones accounted for 53 percent of sales, and the Pro modifications accounted for the remaining 47 percent.
Thus, these statistics indicate a stable interest in budget devices, despite the fact that more expensive models are at the top of the sales charts in the first weeks.
