The pace of the Russian offensive in the eastern front areas is not decisive for turning the tide of the war, since the issue is not the advancement of the “liberators” or the captured territory, but in a slightly different aspect.

As reported by NBN with reference to the material from Espresso, according to the director of the information and consulting company Defense Express, Sergei Zgurets, in the east of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the brink of maximum risk, hold local positions, the so-called “pockets”, in order to “demilitarize” as many occupiers as possible.
Based on Zgurets' words, the Armed Forces of Ukraine never retreat just like that, trying to gain a foothold in the “pockets” before retreating and inflict as much damage on the enemy as possible: in particular, on the Pokrovsk/Kurakhove/Velika Novosyolka line, the invaders are trying to “level out” this section of the front line in order to free up some of the personnel, and to form sufficient “manpower” groups on certain flanks to carry out operational changes.
Also, the expert added – when it comes to the pace of advancement of the “second army of the world” in the Pokrovsky direction, near Chasovy Yar or in Kupyansk, in fact, the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is holding, despite the difficulty of maintaining a balance between limited reserves.
Earlier, we wrote about the fact that ISW revealed how much “manpower” the Russian Federation lost for each km² of Ukrainian territory captured in the fall.
