As reported by NBN with reference to the material of Die Welt, the head of the German Ministry of Internal Affairs, Nancy Feser, made a statement – the German government has begun negotiations with its closest partners (EU neighboring states) regarding the potential placement of Ukrainian and Syrian refugees.
Based on Feser's words, in a scenario that provides for an increase in the number of refugees in Germany, due to the escalation of hostilities in Syria and the intensification of Russian strikes on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, it is necessary to conduct a series of consultations with neighboring countries regarding the best way to act.
In particular, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized:
…We [Germany] need to distribute Ukrainian refugees differently.
However, the official added that regarding the likely increase in the number of refugees from Syria, the negotiation process is being conducted with friendly Turkey.
