As reported by “NBN” with reference to Reuters material, recently German Chancellor Olaf Scholz managed to discuss ending the war in Ukraine with the new US President Donald Trump.
Based on Scholz's words, based on the results of the conversation, one can conclude that partners, in particular Germany and the US, will probably be able to move on to developing a common strategy for Ukraine. At the same time, the key principle in the issue of achieving peace remains the one that provides for the priority of the opinion of the Ukrainian people as a whole.
In addition, the German Chancellor emphasized that the conversation with Trump was quite detailed, and Scholz's team continues to directly exchange data with the newly elected US President's advisers in the security sphere.
Separately, Scholz added that at the current stage it is very important to stop the killings “as quickly as possible”, while simultaneously guaranteeing the preservation of Ukraine's sovereignty and independence.
