The prime minister said on his Facebook page that he had a phone call with the Russian leader in the morning. According to him, the conversation with the dictator lasted an hour, the NBN publication reports.

The representative of Budapest noted that now are the most dangerous weeks of the war, hinting that during the telephone conversations he discussed with Putin the topic of the Russian war against Ukraine. The politician added that his country is using all diplomatic instruments at its disposal to cease fire.

The morning conversation between the head of the Hungarian government and the leader of the Russians was also commented on by the Kremlin press service. The department clarified that Orban was the initiator of the negotiations. It is noted that the politicians discussed economic cooperation between Budapest and Moscow and the war in Ukraine.

The Western politician expressed interest in finding ways to resolve the “crisis” politically and diplomatically together with the Russian Federation and taking into account his contacts with some leaders of foreign states. In turn, the dictator complained to Orban about the “destructive line” of the Ukrainian authorities, which allegedly does not allow a peaceful settlement of the war.
