Today, emergency power outage schedules began to be introduced in Ukraine, as reported by the energy company DTEK and oblenergo. The corresponding order came from NEC Ukrenergo, writes the publication NBN.
It is known that electricity has already begun to be turned off for household consumers in the capital, Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Zhitomir and Poltava regions.
The general director of the energy company YASNO, Sergey Kovalenko, reported that the need to introduce GAV in a number of regions of Ukraine is caused by a very high level of electricity consumption – emergency shutdowns will help relieve the load on the energy system. He called on Ukrainians not to get into elevators and to use energy-intensive devices more economically.
Note that on the morning of December 23, Ukrenergo announced that as of 09:30, electricity consumption in the country was 2.5% higher than at the same time the previous working day – Friday, December 20.
Power engineers explained that this was due to the start of the working week, cloudy weather and a drop in air temperature in most regions.
Recall that the expert predicted how many years it would take to restore the Ukrainian energy system after massive attacks by the Russian Federation.
