The general said on Fox Business that the newly elected The American leader wants to achieve a fair, secure and sustainable peace in Ukraine. According to him, ending the fighting is the main international priority of the 47th President of America, the NBN publication reports.
The US Special Representative for Ukraine and the Russian Federation noted that in past years, Kyiv had already sat down at the negotiating table with Moscow, recalling the “Minsk agreements”, which “failed miserably”. Kellogg believes that Trump will probably not choose this path to ending the war.
He added that the newly elected American leader understands the importance of relations with US allies, as well as with the Kremlin dictator. The general believes that the Republican will be able to bring this to an end in the relatively near future.
