National Guard Commander Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko Named the Number of NGU Fire Groups Protecting the Skies Over Ukraine.

In an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency, the NGU Commander said that more than 900 fire groups protect the skies over our country. National Guard, of which about 500 are mobile, the rest are stationary, the NBN publication reports.
According to him, if the supply of weapons, equipment and shells to the Ukrainian Armed Forces continues, all fire groups will become mobile. The brigadier general revealed that the air defense forces received “the first vehicles with interesting equipment” from the United States. The defenders are currently testing this system and will transfer it to training centers.
The military leader added that Kyiv's allies are also helping the Defense Forces with radars for the long-range detection of Shahed kamikaze drones in order to shoot down these UAVs.
Pivnenko noted that the quality of the fire groups' work is growing, and the protection of infrastructure facilities is improving accordingly. The National Guard trains and equips its fighters to counter enemy missiles and drones.
As reported, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky said that our country is ready to produce air defense systems and long-range weapons under Western licenses.
