The day before, on December 27, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico threatened to stop providing electricity to Ukraine, since our country refused to transport Russian “blue fuel” through its territory.

As reported by “NBN”, citing the material from “RBK-Ukraine”, Director of the Center for Energy Research Alexander Kharchenko and a number of sources in the domestic energy industry believe that Fico's threats do not pose a threat to Ukraine's supply of electricity.
Based on Kharchenko's words, domestic energy companies are able to compensate for the volumes that Ukraine's energy system currently takes from EU member states “through another connection”, and the maximum that can be expected from Fico's threats is that Slovakia will not receive funds from the supply of this resource, in addition to the loss of financial flow from the suspension of gas transit from the Russian Federation.
In addition, energy companies added that there will be no negative consequences for Ukraine due to the interruption of the supply of Slovak electricity, since our country can alternately receive up to 2.1 GW of resources from the EU from the corresponding infrastructure of Poland, Hungary and Romania.
Earlier, our information portal wrote that analysts pointed to signs of Fico turning into a “second Orban”.
