On Friday, January 3, residents of Ukraine will spend the third day without electricity. The Kyiv Digital app reports that NEC Ukrenergo is not planning to cut off power, in particular for the Kyiv region, the NBN publication writes.
Today, the country's energy system has enough electricity, however, given the emergency restoration work that is being carried out after 13 large-scale attacks by Russian occupiers on critical infrastructure facilities in 2024, the situation may change.
Citizens are advised to check up-to-date information on the state of the energy system, planned or emergency shutdown schedules on the website or on the official pages of regional energy companies on social networks.
Kyiv residents and visitors to the city can view the relevant data on the DTEK Kyiv Electric Grids website, and residents of the region – on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Grids portal.
Ukrainians are also reminded of the importance of economical electricity consumption.
As reported, Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko explained why last year was the most difficult for our country's energy system since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops.
