As NBN reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Russians are having difficulties with the evacuation measures that provide for the emergency removal of military equipment across the sea – the new Syrian authorities are not allowing the Russian fleet to enter the port of Tartus.
As it became known, Russian Rear Admiral Valery Vladimirovich Varfolomeev unsuccessfully tried to negotiate with the Syrians, but was not allowed to participate in the negotiations. At the same time, time is running out, since one of the Russian ships (the large landing ship “Alexander Otrakovsky”), standing off the coast of Syria in the outer roadstead, has a leak in two fuel tanks and some problems with the operation of the desalination plant, which will not allow it to move far from the port without losses.
Apparently, due to the above-described troubles, all the military equipment that has become inoperative and requires repairs will not go to the Syrian rebels, since the “liberators” were ordered to burn it, but not leave it rebels.
