Singer MARUV left Ukraine during a full-scale war and kept silent about the Russian invasion. However, the artist recently posted a video on her TikTok in which she responded to the hate over her refusal to give concerts in her homeland, writes the NBN publication.
In the short video, the performer spoke out about the comment that she traded worldwide fame for concerts that gather less than 2,000 spectators. MARUV made it clear that she is ready to trade large venues for closed performances if she is generously paid for it.
“Performing for people over 2k is beautiful. But singing for one who pays well is also good,” the artist said.
Recall that last year it became known that the singer entertains Russians abroad. In particular, the media reported on her concert at the ZRoom club, which is a kind of “corner of Russian culture” in Dubai.
Earlier, the singer told details of the scandalous negotiations about MARUV's participation in Eurovision from Ukraine in 2019.
