A speaker of the operational-strategic group of forces “Khortitsa” on the air of the national telethon said that the Russian Armed Forces are trying to gain a foothold in small villages South of Pokrovsk for further advancement in this direction. However, the Russians are in no hurry to enter the city itself, since it is not profitable for them, the NBN publication reports.
According to him, the invaders are now trying to reach the forest belt near the highway through which part of the supplies to Pokrovsk are carried out. For this, the enemy has deployed a large number of manpower and equipment.
Tregubov recalled that the Pokrovsk direction remains key today, where the most intense and fierce clashes are taking place. Since this city is large and well fortified, the Russians are “grinding down” here.
The military man added that now the “second army of the world” has enough urban battles, in particular in Toretsk and Kurakhovo, so the occupiers are avoiding such clashes in Pokrovsk.
