As reported by NBN with reference to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Russian occupation army, judging by everything, will continue to advance westward, invading the Dnepropetrovsk region.
According to military analysts, the occupiers managed to achieve “successes” near Novovasilyevka, which is located 7 kilometers from the Dnipropetrovsk region, and in the Novodarovka area (7.5 kilometers in this direction). Thus, the Russian offensive campaign, actively going on west of Pokrovsk, and in the vicinity of Bolshaya Novosyolka near the Dnipropetrovsk region, may be part of efforts aimed at encircling the Defense Forces and capturing the remaining areas of Donetsk.
In addition, Moscow is likely to use the possibility of a potential offensive on the Dnipropetrovsk region, as a priority, for information purposes, which is unlikely to have a significant operational impact on the front lines.
Experts from the Institute for the Study of War emphasize that the occupiers will try to seize any territory of Ukraine, regardless of its significance, intending not only to strengthen the Kremlin's negotiating position, that is, “to use limited achievements in the southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region”, but also to later declare that the Russian Federation has the right to control and annex this entire region in the future.
