The American publication The New York Times writes that the North Korean leadership intends to send reinforcements for the Russian invaders to the Kursk region in the near future. Last fall, the Russian Federation received the first batch of 11,000 North Korean fighters, NBN reports.

The media outlet quotes Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Alexander Syrsky, who reported an increase in losses of North Korean troops in the Russian border region. According to him, half of the fighters sent by Pyongyang were either killed or wounded.

Journalists note that the entry of the DPRK, whose army numbers 1.2 million soldiers, into the Russian-Ukrainian war was a serious escalation of full-scale hostilities that have been going on for the third year. They recalled that before sending troops to the Kursk region, the North Korean authorities transferred millions of artillery shells to Moscow.

Earlier, a Western publication published an article in which it described how North Korean fighters are fighting on the front in the Russian border region.
