In an interview with Bloomberg, the President spoke about his conversations with the 47th head of the White House, noting that they had several conversations, but before Trump's inauguration they could not go into detail, the publication writes “NBN”.
The Ukrainian leader spoke to the American president about security guarantees for our country, in particular about its integration into NATO. According to him, Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Alliance is the “cheapest” security guarantee for our country, the United States and Europe. At the same time, Kyiv wants to have other opportunities while Ukraine is not part of the bloc.
The head of state also told the American leader that Ukrainians, like no one else, want to end this war, which they did not start. However, our country needs to be in a strong position, since the Kremlin dictator understands only the language of force. Zelensky warned Trump that he would see Putin's reluctance to stop hostilities when everyone around him is striving for this.
