The Belarusian dictator stated that “peacekeepers” from his country could allegedly ensure normal relations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. At the same time, Putin's ally clarified that Minsk does not intend to send such a contingent to the front line, since this decision will not be supported by Kyiv and its allies, NBN writes.

The Center for Countering Disinformation responded to the words of the self-proclaimed President of the Republic of Belarus, stating that Lukashenko is trying to create the impression with such statements that his country is standing aside from the Russian invasion.

The CPD noted that Minsk became an accomplice to the aggression of the Russian Federation, providing the occupation forces of the terrorist state with active support at the beginning of a full-scale war. Therefore, now the statements of Putin's ally about “peacekeepers” from Belarus sound absurd.

The dictator's corresponding rhetoric is aimed at improving his image in the eyes of the international community. Moreover, his statements are in line with Kremlin propaganda, which claims that Ukraine and the West allegedly do not seek to achieve peace.

Recall that Vladimir Zelensky said that at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Lukashenko apologized to him. The dictator's press secretary denies that the illegitimate head of Belarus did this.
