On Tuesday, January 28, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that more than 12.6 million citizens applied for financial assistance under the Winter Support program. “Zelensky's thousand” has already been paid to 11 million Ukrainians, the NBN publication writes.
According to the head of government, the program initiated by the president is highly effective. Given this experience, the authorities are now working to improve the infrastructure through which citizens receive financial assistance from the state.
Recall that Ukrainians can apply for 1,000 hryvnias in the Diia app. This money, which is credited to the National Cashback card, can be spent during the year only on paying for utilities, donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, buying clothes, medicine, books, train or bus tickets.
Earlier it became known how citizens can apply for a “Zelensky thousand” if they do not have a smartphone or the “Diya” application.
