The Czech Foreign Minister said that the West should force Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin to receive Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky for talks as the president of a sovereign nation.

The minister stressed that this should be one of the allies' conditions for holding the negotiation process, the NBN publication writes with reference to n-tv.

Lipavsky drew attention to the fact that the head of the Kremlin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and some propagandists say that Moscow does not want to negotiate with Kiev. Instead, they are talking with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz or US President Donald Trump, but not with the Ukrainian authorities.

The diplomat explained that the Kremlin's goal is to make the West believe that the Ukrainian leadership is allegedly incapable of negotiating. The Prague representative added that it is important for the allies not to fall into this “trap” of the Russians.

Recall that Zelensky commented on Putin's statements about the Ukrainian president and the negotiations.
