As NBN reports with reference to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), on Friday, February 28, Putin’s army continued its offensive in the Kursk region, but did not achieve significant success.
Based on ISW analysts' data, fighting continued northwest, north and south of Sudzha – near Stara Sorochina and Lebedivka, in the area of Malaya Loknya and in the vicinity of Kurilovka, respectively. Also, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to attack enemy forces near Lebedivka and Sverdlikovo (northwest of Sudzha).
At the same time, the invaders moved to attacking actions [without the support of armored vehicles, exclusively with infantry groups] along the international border, near the villages of Basovka and Novenkoye (north of Ukrainian Sumy and west of Russian Sudzha), seeking to cut off the supply routes/logistics chain of the Defense Forces involved in the Kursk bridgehead.
