The day before, on March 1, the White House announced the suspension of any military support for Ukraine, at least until Kiev signs an agreement on the development of Ukrainian mineral deposits.

As NBN reports with reference to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the suspension/delay of American military aid to Ukraine will apparently prove to be a critical factor that will cause a change in the balance of power in favor of the Russian Federation, which will ultimately provoke the scaling of Russian aggression, thereby leading to the occupation of new regions against the backdrop of destabilization of the situation in the region.
Based on the opinion of ISW analysts, it is precisely the support of the West that enables Ukraine to effectively counteract Russian aggression: for example, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are intensively using American systems (Patriot air defense/missile defense, and HIMARS and ATACMS MLRS) to protect against missile attacks, destroy the logistics chains of the “second army in the world,” and undermine the potential of the military-industrial complex of the terrorist state.
ISW has repeatedly emphasized the exceptional importance of a timely extension of Western military aid to Kyiv, as it has documented a direct correlation between the scale of Putin's army's victories in Ukraine and delays/cessations of support.
The Institute for the Study of War believes that Russia will take advantage of the situation and try to seize more territory, while increasing the pressure on Ukraine. Washington's potential inaction will allow Russia to bring “victory” closer, and will also stimulate the Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin, strengthening his faith in the possibility of achieving strategic goals, first of all, control over Ukraine and other former Soviet republics, including the current member states of the North Atlantic Alliance (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia).
Earlier we wrote about how ISW explained the increased activity of the occupiers in the border area of Sumy and Kursk regions.
