The US Vice President said in an interview with Fox News that the best way to prevent a new Russian invasion is to ensure America's interest in Ukraine's future. According to him, this will be a real guarantee of the country's security, writes the NBN publication.
According to him, providing the United States with economic interests in the restoration and development of Ukraine would supposedly be a better alternative to introducing 20,000 peacekeepers from “some random country” that has not fought in 30 or 40 years.
Vance once again stated that the head of the White House has a strategy for ending the war and when the Ukrainian leadership wants to talk about peace, Trump “will be the first to pick up the phone.” The politician added that providing Kyiv with as much ammunition as Washington can is “not an option.”
Earlier, the media reported that the US President's advisers proposed including a clause on Zelensky's resignation in the peace agreement on Ukraine.
