The head of the German Federal Intelligence Service, Bruno Kahl, made a statement: if the war in Ukraine had continued for another five years, it would have been safer for Europe, since it would have exhausted the aggressor country and delayed the Russian attack on the EU/NATO.

As NBN reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, such rhetoric from a high-ranking German official is quite unfounded and contradictory for a number of reasons.
Based on Kovalenko’s words, Europe will still not be able to avoid a war with the Russian Federation in 4-6 years, since, for the most part, European states are lazy and do not want to change “socially”.
In particular, the head of the CPD emphasized that only the “Nordics” [Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, and probably Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia], as well as Poland and France, are potentially ready to confront a terrorist state. At the same time, Germany is absolutely incapable of making even one Taurus [long-range missile] faster than within a year/year and a half.
Kovalenko stressed that Europe will not become safer unless some countries change their passive position, and therefore:
…Better get ready now, unfortunately. I understand the psychology of Russians well – they will attack NATO countries regardless of us, while you are so weak.
