The American publication The Washington Post writes that during the peace talks the Kremlin intends to continue putting forward maximalist demands to end the fighting. This is confirmed by European intelligence, writes NBN.

Journalists have revealed Moscow's conditions for ending the war, which were prepared for the Russian leadership by an unnamed analytical center under the direction of the FSB a week before the negotiations between the Russian and US delegations in Riyadh.

The document notes that Russia should work to weaken America's position in the negotiations by fueling tensions between the United States and other states.

Among the demands of the aggressor: territorial concessions by Kyiv, in particular recognition of the captured regions as Russian, creation of a buffer zone in the north-east of Ukraine on the border with the Russian Federation and a demilitarized zone in the south of the country. Moscow also demands that Europe refuse to deploy peacekeeping forces on Ukrainian territory and the “complete dismantling” of the government in Kyiv.

The media report notes that the Kremlin is not interested in a speedy end to the war and that concluding any long-term agreement with the Russians remains dangerous.

Earlier, Western journalists reported that Washington received a list of demands from Moscow for concluding a peace agreement on Ukraine.
