As NBN reports with reference to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the invaders managed to advance in the Zaporizhia region against the backdrop of the aggressor country deliberately delaying its response to the proposal regarding a 30-day ceasefire.

According to ISW analysts, the intensification of the actions of the “second army of the world” in Zaporozhye, apparently, is part of a comprehensive effort that provides for a deliberate delay in the RF’s acceptance of the above-described proposal in order to gain an advantage on the battlefield.

According to geolocation footage from March 18, the “liberators” were recently able to advance in eastern Stepnoye (east of Kamenskoye), southeast of Shcherbaki (east of Kamenskoye), north of Pyatikhatki (southeast of Kamenskoye), and toward Lobkovoye (southeast of Kamenskoye).

According to the Ukrainian military, Putin's troops have become more active in the Zaporizhzhya direction, as they intend to take advantage of the improved weather conditions: the mud has dried up, and the invaders are trying to improve their tactical position by attacking with assault infantry groups of 5-7 people.

The Institute for the Study of War believes that the occupiers have begun an offensive in the western part of the Zaporizhia region in order to advance towards the administrative center of the region. Moscow will demand that Kyiv transfer the entire region to the Russian Federation, as stated in the “Constitution” of the aggressor country.
